So I wanted to give you guys a bit more detail about each of our pay monthly website design plans and answer some questions we get asked frequently. There is a basic overview on our website already, but is is quite short and to the point, and I know a lot of our clients want to find out a little bit more about how each of our plans can work for them.

So let's start with our first package:

The Starter Plan

Who is it for?

This package is aimed at very small companies who do not necessarily have a lot of content to put on their website initially. Or for businesses who maybe haven't had a website before and want to dip their toe in the water to see if it's for them. However, we don't limit who can have this plan, we have some larger businesses who find they actually only need a single page website. Or some who just want a lead generating landing page, which would also fall under our Starter Plan.

How much is it?

£25 per month for as long as you require the website.

How many pages is it?

1 brochure design website page.

What can you include in 1 website page?

It can be anything you want! Typically with our Starter Plan we will create an intro section, a list of services & a contact form. This format seems to work well for most of our clients, however if a different page structure would work better for your business, that's no problem.

What do I have to pay upfront?

Nothing. That's a fact. Once we receive some website content from you, we will design your home page without you having to pay a penny. Then once you decide to go ahead we get cracking on the rest of the website design and send over your first invoice. 

Are there any additional charges?

Nope.

Will my website have an SSL?

Yes. All of our websites come with a fully secure SSL certificate included within the monthly cost.

Will I own my website?

Not with our pay monthly website packages. You will however own all the content you provided and if you want to take your website elsewhere we will help however we can.

Will my website work on mobile?

We design all of our websites with mobile in mind, so they all work really well on mobile devices.

Will I have to sign a contract?

Not at all. We don't have any minimum terms. We don't believe in tying people into lengthy contracts, so if you decide you no longer need your website, just give us 30 days notice and we will take your website offline. Any outstanding fees will need to be settled during this notice period.

What do I need to provide you with to get started?

We don't need the full website content to get cracking on the initial design, but we do need a few things before we can begin:

• Logo files in png format
• General description text about your business
• List of services you offer
• Contact details
• Brand guidelines if you have some
• Links to websites you like (Not necessary, but this can be really helpful to our designers)

I don't have a business logo, do I need one?

A logo really helps to give your business credibility and gives you a brand image. So we usually advise our clients to invest in a logo, depending on your business of course.

Do you do logo design?

Yes we do! Our logo design services are £100. You could also try a DIY logo design service if you are feeling creative!

Can I update my website?

With our Starter Plan you do not have access to be able to update the website yourself, but that is available on our Premium Plan should you decide you want to upgrade your plan at some point. However on our Starter website package we can make updates for you, that's one of the great things about a pay monthly website - we're always on hand to help.

Are website updates chargeable?

Nope. All amends and updates are included in the monthly cost. You will need to allow time for these changes to be complete - usually done within 72 hours of initial instruction.

Will my website appear at the top of Google?

Let's be honest, no it won't. To get your website at the top of Google takes a long time and a LOT of keyword driven content being constantly added to your website. A single page website will not have enough content within it to rank highly with search engines. However, there are other things you could do to get found on search engines:

• Set yourself up on Google My Business - this helps for people searching for your services near them. You will appear in the local listing.
• Paid advertising - Putting some of your marketing spend behind an Adwords campaign is recommended to help people start finding you on search engines
• Paid social media advertising - a bit cheaper than Adwords and can really help drive people to your website
• Social media posts - creating engaging social posts and gaining a high social media following will also help raise awareness of your business and drive traffic to your website. You can get social media companies to do this for you, but it's not cheap.
• Get an SEO marketing company - To honest this is an expensive option and with only 1 page of content, it probably won't make that much impact to the website.
• Invest in a copywriter - having your copy written by a professional makes the world of difference to your website. They can help pick out the messages that will drive people to convert and push the key points of your business.

What does Lollipop Rocks do to help with SEO?

We will ensure your website is SEO optimised. We make sure all images are resized for web so your load speeds are lower. We submit your site map to search engines, so you can get found. We set up Google local business Schema within your website to tell Google all the important bits of information about your website, which will also increase your website's visibility in search engines.

Do you offer copywriting services?

We sure do! This is an additional service if you require it and is chargeable per page.

Can I upgrade my website?

Of course! That's one of the many benefits of pay monthly website design, we can grow and adapt as your business develops. We can up your plan as you need to add more content, or you decide you need more from your website design.

What else is included in the £25 per month?

• We also include a free domain for 12 months. After that 12 months domains are chargeable at £10 per year.
• We provide 1 free email address within the Starter Plan
• We will provide an SSL certificate so you can be assured your website is fully secure
• Hosting is provided within the monthly cost and we host all our websites on Amazon Cloud.
• We will include a privacy policy page.
• Plus with pay monthly website plans, we are always on the other end of the phone to help with anything you need.
