Contract & Payments


  • Is there anything to pay upfront?

    In short, no. We offer professional websites on a 'Pay as You Go' basis, so no upfront fees. Yay!

  • What do I get for my monthly fee?

    You get a fully responsive, mobile friendly website built by a UK based designer. HTTPS certificates and web hosting are included, and if you don't already have a domain name, we can provide this for the first year free of charge!

  • Am I tied into a contract?

    Nobody likes to be tied into a contract, and we're no different. The only thing we ask for is 30 days' notice of cancellation if you do decide to leave us.

  • How and when do you take payment?

    When you first sign up to our service, we will set up a direct debit mandate to take the agreed payment from you on the same day, each month, starting the day you agree to use our services.

  • Are there any discounts for paying upfront?

    Of course! You can pay upfront each year and get a nice 15% discount. Or maybe try one of our Pay Upfront packages

  • Do I have to pay extra for hosting?

    No - your website is hosted on our secure cloud platform as part of your plan, meaning no extra charges!

The Technical Stuff


  • What does HTTPS mean, and do I need it?

    HTTPS stands for 'Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure'. Basically, it ensures that all data transferred over the website is encrypted and sent over a secure connection. Search engines have been known to 'punish' sites that are not secure, as new customers can be wary of leaving personal details on an unsecure website. Luckily, all our websites are encrypted with HTTPS.

  • I already have a domain name; can I still use it?

    Absolutely. We can talk you through step-by-step on how to link your old domain to your new website.

  • Will my new website work on mobile?

    Yes! It's no surprise that the number of users accessing websites from mobile devices has now well surpassed those using desktop computers, so all our websites are designed with mobile users in mind.

  • What happens if my site goes down?

    All of our websites are hosted on the Amazon Cloud, and if it's good enough for Jeff Bezos, it's good enough for us. We also keep off-site back-ups of all websites so in the unlikely event that your site does go down, we can get cracking on a fix!

  • Do I need a Privacy Policy?

    In short, yes. In order to stay compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations ('GDPR') we make sure all of our websites contain a Privacy Policy. We can provide a template to help get you started!

Site Maintenance


  • What changes can I make to my website?

    Once your website is live, you can make changes to your website whenever you like! Depending on your plan, you will have access to on-going support from our team. If you are on our Premium or Professional Pay Monthly Plans, you can even make basic changes to your website yourself using our online editor.

  • Can I add new pages to my site once it’s live?

    If you haven't used the full page allocation within your chosen plan, we can add these for you at any time, free of charge.


    If you need more pages than you have left within your plan, you will need to either upgrade to a higher plan, or pay for additional pages on an ad-hoc basis.

  • Can I add new images to my gallery myself?

    All Premium and Professional Plan users can add and remove images from their website galleries using our easy to use online editor. Alternatively, let's link your gallery to your Instagram account and it will automatically update each time you create a new post.

  • Can I sell products on my website?

    If you want to sell products on your website, you will need to upgrade to our Professional Plan. Here, you will be able to add new items, change stock levels and take payments from your customers.

  • Can I host my website elsewhere?

    Not with our pay monthly website packages. All of our websites are designed, maintained and hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting which guarantees 99.999% uptime, while placing zero restrictions on bandwidth or storage. With hosting this good, why look anywhere else?! 


    Our Pay Upfront packages include 12 months  hosting and support for free. After that you can choose to stay with our hosting package, or take it elsewhere. 

  • I've been a customer for a while - can I re-vamp my website?

    Of course! If you'd like to refresh your website's look while still staying on the same package, we can do this for you whenever you like.

How Does it Work?


  • How long will it take to make my website?

    Typically, from the date we receive your approved content and images, we aim to have your website live within 1 - 2 weeks, depending on when we receive the full content.

  • Can you write my content for me?

    Most of our customers tend to write their own website copy, however we can provide a copywriting service if required, for an additional charge.  

  • Do you provide images for my website?

    We can provide stunning 'stock' images for your website free of charge, however most companies prefer to showcase their own work, with their own photography where possible.

  • I don’t have a logo; can you create one for me?

    Absolutely! We can design you a logo for £100. This gets you 3 solid logo designs to choose from, plus the opportunity to make amendments.

  • I’m not a business, but still need a website. Can you help?

    We'd love to help! We can build portfolio websites, musician websites and even wedding websites.

  • How do I get new customers to my website?

    Having a great website is just the beginning, you need to get new customers to see it to make any business a success.


    Each website we build is fully SEO friendly, which gives your site a starting point for your SEO campaign.


    We also offer basic Google Ads packages - call us to find out more. 

  • Can I add promotional offers to my site throughout the year?

    Certainly! We can design striking pop-ups and banners to show to specific customers, at specific times of the year.


    Whether it's a free bauble with every order, or a spooky message to new customers we can help.

  • I'm starting a new business, can you help me with branding?

    We certainly can! We love helping start-ups get off the ground (we know how hard it is) and can help with everything from branding to marketing.

  • Do you offer any other design services?

    Absolutely. We've designed business cards, flyers, logos, van-wraps, promotional materials and even infinity loop cards (check them out, they're awesome) and can't wait to see what we can put your logo on next!

  • Are there any restrictions to what I can show on my site?

    Although we love to help businesses great and small get online, there are times when we have to say, to paraphrase MeatLoaf, we won't do that.  If your site is promoting anything illegal, morally questionable or even just something we don't believe in, we may have to ask you to look elsewhere. Sorry!

Cancellation


  • I don't need my website any more - how do I cancel?

    We'd be sad to see you go, but you can cancel at any time by telling us by email, phone or in writing. We just ask that you provide at least 30 days' notice.

  • Is there a cancellation fee?

    We do ask for 30 days' notice of cancellation, but we do not charge a cancellation fee.

  • If I cancel, what happens to my domain name?

    If you bought the domain name yourself, then you just need to remove any DNS entries that point your domain to us.


    If the domain was included as part of your plan, then we will retain ownership until the lease expires. If you want to keep the domain name, we can transfer this to you for a small fee.

  • If I cancel, what happens to my website?

    As all of our websites are built and hosted as part of our monthly plans, and cannot be transferred, if you decide to cancel then your website will be archived.


    Any images or documentation that you have provided or paid for seperately (such as logos/copywriting) will be sent to you securely.


    If you decide to bring your website back online, then all we need to do is re-activate your plan and we're good to go!
