PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Solicitors and Barristers are expensive – and securing Legal Aid is becoming increasingly difficult – but representing yourself in court can be a daunting prospect. That’s where McKenzie Friends come in, our nationwide network of McKenzie Friends can guide and advise you through the process.
The team at McKenzie McKenzie asked us here at Lollipop Rocks to create their branding with a friendly and approachable look and feel. They wanted their website to be easy to navigate and highly informative.
We began with the logo design and colour palette. The team at McKenzie McKenzie wanted their brand colours to be pastel tones which were not too corporate looking. After reviewing their final logo design, we then created a brand colour palette for them incorporating 8 colour hues which could be used as gradients throughout the website.

DESIGN PROCESS:
With the logo and colour palette ready to go, we began the design for the website. We carefully selected a range of imagery to compliment the brand's approachable and friendly persona. From a a design perspective, we wanted the images to be relatable to the consumer.
We used the final colour palette to create a number of gradient options which we used as backgrounds regularly throughout the website pages. McKenzie McKenzie wanted their website pages to look stimulating via use of colour and imagery. With this in mind, we kept the page format in blocks, so we could use gradient backgrounds and full bleed imagery.
The final font selected was Rubik, which we used for both the headers and the main body copy. Rubik is an easy to read sans serif font, with a modern look and rounded edges, giving it a very friendly feel.
INFORMATION DIRECTORY:
The aim of the overall website was to give a wealth of information regarding varying aspects of family law in an easy to digest format.
With this in mind, we created an overall Help and Advice page which gave a breakdown of all the areas of law which McKenzie McKenzie can help with.
From this page, the client can easily select the subject which is relevant to them and click through for more information. The following page contains a number of article page links with a vast array of informative content for the client regarding their chosen subject, which they can read at their leisure.
Throughout the website we included some strong call to actions to direct clients to book a free consultation with one of McKenzie McKenzie's qualified solicitor team. Having a contact form on each page reinforces the message to the customer, and gives them plenty of opportunity to get in touch with the team.
